B.Sc. Microbiology (4 Years)

B.Sc. Microbiology is a four year program. The course objective is to impart knowledge and practical skills in Microbiology.

This program specifically aims to:
• Develop capable manpower in the fields of agriculture, food, industrial, environmental and medical microbiology.
• Develop future experts and researchers in the fields mentioned above.

Learning Method

The learning approach will be through visuals, site tours and experiments. In addition to lecture based classes, we focus on presentations, case studies and group discussions. The students will use OHP, LCD, Charts etc and visit Industrial, Botanical/Zoological and Institutional sites. We conduct seminars and guest lecturers that will help the students to interact with working professionals. The students will also get involved in a project work. This will help the students to get some idea about real organizations. They will work in field and also in our fully equipped Laboratories during the project works.

Eligibility for Admission:

Students who have passed I.Sc or +2 Science with Biological stream from TU or an institute recognized by TU shall be considered eligible to apply for admission. The students are selected based on their merit in I.Sc. or +2 and entrance examination. The students should have secured at least 50% score at the PCL level or the entrance test as prescribed by the faculty board or the college. The students should appear in the entrance test conducted by the LVC or ISOT.
